JACKET THREE:
MULTI-KNIT
To create this jacket I used 11 different pastel coloured yarns to knit the body and arms, and then cushioned fake flowers inside sparkly vinyl. This jacket is extremely chunky and cosy! The inspiration for my textured jacket collection came from flowers so I really wanted to include whole flowers into one of my designs.

I began by choosing 11 different yarns that I thought well well together and followed my colour theme, of blue, pink, purple, grey and white.
I began with the sleeves, I wanted to make them extra long and chunky so that I could roll them up at the cuff. I cast on 20 loops.
This is a close up of how the knit looks when using multiple yarns.
These are the two completed knitted sleeves. They look like two huge rectangles right now, but will soon transform into something magical!
I used the same technique of casting on multiple yarns at once. I started knitting the bottom panel that will attach to the sparkly vinyl.
For this bottom panel I cast on 40 stitches to make it extra wide.
This is how the bottom panel looked after knitting it all. It will attach to the rest of the body.
I collected multiple fake flowers that complimented my colour theme.
I laid out the sparkly vinyl and parked around the front and back patten pieces. I cropped them because I did not need the full length. I had to cut double of every pattern piece because they were going to sandwich the flowers in between them.
